Privacy Policy
Your information.
Your control.
This policy explains what IMNEXT collects, why we use it, the services that help us operate, and how you can access, correct, or delete your information.
01
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to imnext.us, the IMNEXT customer portal, customer-facing mobile applications that link to this policy, including HomeKit Controller, and related smart-home services provided by IMNEXT Smart Home LLC (collectively, the “Services”). Additional notices may apply to IMNEXT employee or contractor systems.
This policy does not control Apple, smart-home manufacturers, survey websites, email providers, or other third-party products and services. Their privacy policies apply when you use them.
02
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: when you provide it, when a technician adds it to your service record, and automatically when needed to deliver and protect the Services.
Account and contact information
Name, email address (including an Apple private relay address), phone number, property or service address, and the unique account identifier Apple provides after successful sign-in. IMNEXT never receives your Apple ID password.
Bookings and service records
Preferred appointment date, service type, issue description, property area, room and device details, project notes, requested products, budget range, service status, and related timestamps.
Files and support content
Floor plans, LiDAR or room scans, support photos, filenames, file type and size, and other project materials you submit or authorize a technician to add. Photos may contain metadata created by your device.
Communications
Messages and details you send through email, the Zendesk support widget, customer inquiries, or other support channels. Email forms on this site open your email app, so your email provider also processes the message.
Technical and security data
Internet Protocol address, browser and device signals, requested page, request time, diagnostic events, and similar network information processed by Cloudflare to deliver and protect the Services. For public submission limits, IMNEXT stores a daily one-way hash derived from the request category, date, and IP address rather than storing the raw IP in that rate-limit record.
Cookies and local storage
A necessary Sign in with Apple security cookie expires after five minutes and is cleared at callback. The web portal may keep your display name and email in session storage for the current browser tab. Mobile sessions may remain valid for up to 30 days unless you sign out. Zendesk may use cookies or browser storage for its support widget.
03
Apple Home, camera, and scanner data
- Apple Home permissions: Apple controls Home access through iOS permissions. If a customer-facing app requests Home access, the permission is used to provide the Home features you choose. IMNEXT receives a Home or project record only when a feature clearly submits it or you share it for service or support.
- Camera feeds: The imnext.us website and customer dashboard do not receive live camera or microphone feeds from your Apple Home. Never send IMNEXT passwords, alarm codes, Home access codes, or unnecessary camera footage.
- Receipt scanner: The receipt-survey scanner processes camera frames in your browser and does not upload those frames or typed receipt codes to IMNEXT. If you open a third-party survey page, that site receives information you submit there under its own policy.
04
How we use information
- Authenticate accounts and provide the customer portal and connected app features.
- Schedule visits, respond to inquiries, deliver support, and maintain project and service history.
- Prepare recommendations, floor plans, device orders, installation notes, and customer handoffs.
- Protect accounts and systems, limit abusive submissions, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability.
- Send service-related communications and respond to requests you initiate.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect customers, IMNEXT, and others.
We do not use your personal information for cross-site behavioral advertising.
06
Retention and deletion
Short-lived sign-in state is kept for up to five minutes. Mobile session credentials may remain valid for up to 30 days and the current session is removed when you sign out. Other account, booking, project, support, and uploaded-file records are kept while needed to provide the Services and maintain the customer relationship, and afterward only as reasonably necessary for warranties, business records, security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
You may request account or personal-information deletion using the contact information below. After verifying the request, we will delete or de-identify information that we are not required or permitted to retain. Deleting your Apple authorization or signing out does not by itself delete completed service, warranty, or business records held by IMNEXT.
07
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to withdraw consent; or to object to or limit certain uses. IMNEXT accepts these requests even when a specific state privacy law does not apply, subject to identity verification and lawful exceptions.
- Email design@imnext.us with the subject “Privacy Request.” Tell us whether you want access, correction, or deletion, and identify the account email involved. Do not email passwords, security codes, or sensitive camera content.
- Sign out to end the current app session. You can also manage Sign in with Apple authorization in your Apple Account settings.
- Use browser controls to clear local storage or manage cookies. Blocking necessary sign-in storage may prevent authentication. Zendesk storage can also be limited through browser controls, although its widget may stop working.
- You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We may request proof of authorization and take reasonable steps to verify your identity.
IMNEXT will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of people under 16. Our first-party service does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no universally accepted standard, but we do not use personal information for cross-site behavioral advertising.
08
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted access, hashed session credentials, secure cookie settings, request-size limits, file validation, and service-provider security controls. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so please share only what is needed for your request.
09
Children
The Services are intended for adults arranging smart-home services and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
10
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this address and update the date above. If a change materially expands how previously collected personal information is used, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by law before applying that change.
